This is the information I have found and IGN is definitely a credible source so...

Notice it does say "Some functionality" so we are not sure how much will actually be available then. Such as it might just be something simple like PlayStation Store but it is a sign that we are moving closer to a whole surge back into PSN.

Sunday morning Kaz, second in command, is having a public Q&A on the PSN situation. Anything else is rumors since if Sony had a solid date they'd definitely want EVERYONE to know ASAP.

When you go to the site I gave you will see the words "on the Playstation Blog" in blue and if you click it it takes you to this page

This page says some service should be back by Tuesday May 3rd and is from Sony itself so if you choose to doubt me again then be prepared to face adversity!

Sorry to say but as far as I know they have not specified games or regions but hey we will get something free.

After you made this post, Sony gave another update stating they didn't know when the network would be back up. Then "Kaz" (the guy Johhny was talking about) announced that PSN would be back up this week, but did not give a specific date. At this point, there's no hard date for PSN to be back. We can only expect it to be back up sometime this week.
